"There is nothing to do in Ojai, and not enough time to do it" - Lisa Casoni, co-owner of the Porch Gallery.

Ojai holds a special place in my heart because this is where I found a place like home far away from home. I call it, my Californian Provence. This article is the first of a long series talking about my discoveries in the city, which is only 90 miles away from Los Angeles. No matter what drew you to Ojai to begin with, you’ll find ample opportunity to reconnect and recharge here. Hike, nature, yoga/meditation, artsy boutiques and galleries, wine tasting or just because you got lost on your way to Santa Barbara, Bienvenue à Ojai.

Some of my favorite places are listed below:

Where to stay? Ojai Rancho Inn

Where to shop? Summer Camp

Where to eat? (lunch and diner): Boccolis

Favorite lunch place: Hip Vegan Cafe

Local products: Ojai Olive Oil and Lavender Farm

Wine tasting: Ojai Vineyard
